Avery Turns 7

I can't believe Avery is already 7. She has grown up so fast. Avery is sweet, smart, caring, good at sports and dance, and always helpful. Avery wanted a zebra striped theme birthday party this year.

I had this personal cake specially made for her. We also rented a bounce house for the day.

Avery is my little poser. This is her on the front of the bounce house.

I didn't realize how loud a group of little girls can be. We are lucky. Avery has such a good group of  girlfriends. Her besties are Payton, Emily, Teyawna and Analise. All these girls are so sweet. I can't forget cousin Matthew. He played mostly with Kasen and Kamden.

BFF's- Avery and Payton

Before her party I took Avery to get a manicure and pedicure from her Aunt Steph. They turned out so cute. Aunt Steph also bought a zebra print bedroom comforter set to match. She loved her party. I was worn out.

Adventure Dome

The kids have been wanting to go to Adventure Dome in Las Vegas for a while. Kam was finally tall enough to ride most of the rides so we took the day to go.  The kids had a blast. They had kiddie rides on up to the upside down roller coaster.

They had a motion movie. They started out with smiles, but Kam ended in a frown. The seats moved and some water sprayed and Kam couldn't wait for it to be over.

We picked a great day to go. The lines were so short the kids could just get off and walk back on. They rode this ride probably 7 times.

Of course we had to pay extra for the face painting!

This is the picture of Kasen and Avery on the roller coaster that went upside down. They loved it!!

We didn't make it five minutes and all three of them were out. They had so much fun. They just kept thanking us for taking them.

Making Wishes

I was watching Kamden through the kitchen window. He would find a dandelion sit down and then blow it. Go to the next one sit down and blow it. It was so cute. I guess he felt he needed to sit down to get the energy to blow all the dandelions in the yard.

Donkey Basketball

Let me start off by saying I have never laughed so hard in my life as I did watching Donkey Basketball. The high school and middle school put this on as a fund raiser. I new most of the people on all of the teams which made it even funnier. Nick rode for the Chamber of Commerce Team.
These donkeys were much taller than I had thought. They had to jump up on them with no help which was a challenge for most of the people. Instead of dribbling they just passed. But depending on whether your donkey wanted to move or not was the funny part. Some were bucking, running, walking, and some just refused to move. If you lost the ball you could get off but you had to drag your donkey with you. Much harder than it sounds. Nick said it was just exhausting. They also had poop squares you could buy. Of course Kasen just thought this was hilarious. They plotted out the court and you could pay 5 dollars to pick where the donkey would poop. If it got in your square you won a hundred dollars. Kasen of course spent his money on this but didn't win.  In the final was the Teacher Team and the Chamber of Commerce Team. Teachers Won!

The Bee Problem

So we have had bee's up in our roof since last summer. Since they were not hurting us in any way we left them. BIG MISTAKE!!!!  The other day they were swarming so bad we could not open our front door. We were not sure what kind of bees so I called to have someone come out. They told me it would cost up to 1 Thousand dollars. No way was I going to pay that. So Nick and our neighbor got suited up and decided to spray bee killer and put a net in the hole where the hive is. It was pretty comical to see them spray and run as fast as they could. They did this over several days. It seems to be working but I am sure this story is To Be Continued........
